Lincoln County Arrest History
The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Troy Police, Moscow Mills Police, Elsberry Police, Winfield Police, Old Monroe Police, Hawk Point Police, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol can create local arrest records. The county Crime Analysis Unit identifies those city agencies and LCSO as records-management contributors. The office that made the arrest is normally the right source for the officer's narrative, probable-cause facts, and report attachments.
The Lincoln County Detention Center creates a second record at intake. Reportable fingerprints and identifiers can reach the Missouri State Highway Patrol Central Repository. If the prosecutor files a charge, the court clerk opens a case file. These records can disagree in timing or charge wording because they reflect different stages. An intake charge is preliminary. It may be amended, replaced, dismissed, or never filed.
Lincoln County Arrest Record Custodians
Choose the custodian by the question being asked. JailTracker and the jail phone can address current Lincoln County custody. The arresting agency can supply a releasable incident or arrest report. Case.net shows a later filed case, not the full police narrative. MACHS combines reportable Missouri events, but its public name result is a possible match rather than fingerprint-confirmed identity.
| Agency or System | Records Route | What It Answers |
|---|---|---|
| Lincoln County Sheriff | Sunshine form or Records at 636-462-6501 | LCSO reports and releasable media |
| Troy Police | 800 Cap Au Gris, 636-528-4725, city form | Troy-created incident and arrest reports |
| Moscow Mills Police | City police or clerk Chapter 610 route | Moscow Mills-created reports |
| Elsberry Police | 106 N 3rd A, 573-898-5456 | Elsberry-created reports |
| Other city police | Winfield, Old Monroe, or Hawk Point department | The report made by that city agency |
| MSHP | Patrol or official records route | A report created by a state trooper |
If the arresting agency is unclear, start with the booking entry because it can name that agency. Then send the report request to the creator, not automatically to the jail or sheriff. The final charge and outcome still belong to the prosecutor and court record.
Looking Up Lincoln County Arrests
No single Lincoln County arrest lookup establishes every part of an event. Begin with the current roster, then call when a person is absent because the detention center excludes some classifications. Use the arresting agency for the report, the court for any filed charge, and the state repository for a Missouri record review.
- Browse the official JailTracker roster and Lincoln County booking-by-date reports for recent custody.
- Call the detention center at 636-462-6507 to check update lag or an excluded classification.
- Request the incident or arrest narrative from the agency that made the arrest, using its Chapter 610 process.
- Search Missouri Case.net for a filed charge and read the later charge-level disposition.
- For your own statewide record, register for a fingerprint review through MACHS and IDEMIA.
- If online sources are incomplete, send a focused Sunshine request with the date, place, person, and case or report number.
For a Lincoln County arrest record check, a public MACHS name search is another official channel for open Missouri criminal history. It requires first and last name plus an exact date of birth or full Social Security number, with both recommended. The result can include a very recent arrest, a pending filed charge, an active-probation SIS, a conviction or guilty plea, and current Missouri registry status. It is not a complete local arrest report.
Lincoln County Detention Center Intake
Booking at 65 Business Park Drive creates custody data apart from the officer's report. Staff record identity and property, conduct medical and safety screening, take fingerprints and a photograph, connect preliminary charges to a warrant or case when applicable, and assign housing. A judicial appearance and bond decision follow before release, continued detention, or transfer.
Lincoln County's handbook describes indirect-supervision cells, dayrooms, and a dorm. Classification weighs charges, documented history, conduct inside the facility, and interpersonal skills. It uses Low, Medium-Low, Medium, Medium-High, High, and Maximum levels. Formal review occurs within 14 days unless the person is ICE classified, when review occurs no more often than every 30 days. Those internal classifications are not promised as public search fields.
The Lincoln County sheriff jail page shown in the assigned manifest image links the current roster and explains booking, bond, and visit channels.
The capture identifies the official county route for jail information, while a phone call remains the check for excluded or newly entered custody records.
Inside a Lincoln County Arrest Record
An arrest record and a booking record overlap, but they are not identical. The agency file can include the alleged facts and officer work. The Lincoln County booking entry focuses on intake and custody. Official booking-by-date reports show a jail ID, booking time, arresting agency, case number, and intake charge. A later court judgment is the proper source for the final result.
| Identity | Name and available identifying data used to tie the event to the correct person. |
|---|---|
| Arrest Details | Date, time, place, agency, officer, and probable-cause narrative when releasable. |
| Record Numbers | Report, citation, warrant, court case, booking, fingerprint transaction, or OCN identifiers. |
| Intake Charges | Preliminary allegations listed at arrest or booking, which may change after review. |
| Booking and Bond | Jail ID, intake time, custody location, bond information, and release or transfer status. |
| Property and Media | Property records and releasable photographs, audio, or video handled under agency rules. |
Note: A Lincoln County booking proves that custody occurred, not that the person committed the alleged offense.
Lincoln County Arrests Reach MSHP
For a reportable Lincoln County arrest, fingerprints and identifiers connect the event to an eight-digit Missouri Offense Cycle Number. Reportable events include felonies, class A misdemeanors, DUI-related offenses, repeat-enhanceable offenses, comparable ordinances, and Chapter 566 cases. The arresting agency reports the arrest, the prosecutor reports whether charges are filed, the clerk reports court action and disposition, and corrections reports later custody or supervision.
Record flow: Arresting Agency › Lincoln County Booking › MSHP Central Repository › Prosecutor Decision › Court Disposition › Corrections Status
Each Lincoln County arrest record stage can lag. Jail records may still show intake charges when the prosecutor has filed different counts. Case.net may update before or after a repository result. MSHP warns that a no-record response can mean that an event was not submitted or did not qualify for reporting. Fingerprints provide the strongest identity match for a self-review; a name result remains a possible match.
Booking Logs and Recent Arrests
The official Lincoln County JailTracker permits current browsing and name searching without an account or fee. Booking-by-date reports list the jail record number, full name, detainee type, booking date and time, arresting agency, case number, charge, date range, page number, and print time. No Lincoln County arrestee names or booking photographs are republished here.
JailTracker is a current-custody tool, not a full Lincoln County arrest archive. Some classifications are excluded for law-enforcement purposes, information can change, and a person may not appear during an update delay. Call 636-462-6507 when a current result is unclear. For historical or releasable booking material, send the sheriff's records request instead of relying on an old roster capture.
Lincoln County Sheriff Media Requests
The Lincoln County Sheriff's Sunshine request form covers sheriff-held reports, audio, video, photographs, and other identified records. It asks for the occurrence date and place, requester contact information, subject, and any case, report, or person number that can narrow the search. Mail the request and payment to the Records Division at 65 Business Park Drive, Troy, MO 63379.
Under Missouri ยง610.026, ordinary pages no larger than 9 by 14 inches cost up to $0.10 each. Copy labor is capped at the average clerical rate, while research and specialized media may carry permitted actual costs. LCSO supplies a free estimate and may ask for advance payment. It accepts credit or debit card, money order, or check payable to LCSO Records.
Section 610.023 generally requires action by the third business day. That can mean production or a detailed delay notice with the earliest expected availability, not guaranteed completion of a complex request. Ask the office to separate open portions from closed material when an active investigation, juvenile information, protected identity data, or another law limits release.

Lincoln County Booking Search Gaps
An empty roster result is not proof that no arrest occurred. The Lincoln County detention source expressly excludes some classifications, and records can lag a new intake or release. A person might also be held by another county, Missouri DOC, or the federal government. Use the jail phone for current local custody before moving to another system.
A missing filed case has other explanations. The prosecutor may not yet have filed charges, the allegation may have changed, a municipal division may hold the matter, or the record may be juvenile, sealed, expunged, or otherwise closed. For a filed prosecution and final outcome, use the Lincoln County criminal court case record. For the officer's narrative, return to the arresting agency.
Arrests Are Not Convictions
An arrest records an exercise of police authority and may lead to a jail booking. A conviction follows a guilty plea or court adjudication. The two Lincoln County records come from different custodians, may use different charge descriptions, and can have different public-access rules. Preliminary charges should never be presented as the final outcome.
| Point | Arrest Record | Conviction Record |
|---|---|---|
| Creator | Arresting agency and detention center | Court after plea or adjudication |
| Meaning | Documents arrest or custody on allegations | Documents a finding or plea of guilt |
| Official Source | Agency report, JailTracker, booking report | Circuit Clerk, Case.net, repository |
| Possible End | Release, no filed charge, or later court case | Sentence, appeal, or lawful closure |
Note: An arrest is not proof of guilt, and a booking can end without a filed charge or conviction.
